Chewy rice cakes drowning happily in gochujang lava.

🧺 Ingredients
- 350 g rice cakes (tteok)
- 2 sheets fish cake, cut in triangles
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp gochugaru (chili flakes)
- 1 tbsp sugar + 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cups water, 2 scallions, 1 boiled egg (optional)

Soak rice cakes in warm water for 5 minutes while you make the sauce.

In a wide pan, stir gochujang, gochugaru, sugar and soy into the water and bring to a boil.

Add rice cakes, simmer 8–10 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats them.

Add fish cakes and scallions for the last 3 minutes.

Top with the egg. Eat standing at the stove like it's a street stall.
