Kimchi Fried Rice

Old kimchi, cold rice, one pan, zero regrets.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 1 big bowl day-old rice
  • 1 cup sour kimchi, chopped, plus 2 tbsp kimchi juice
  • 100 g spam or bacon, diced
  • 1 tbsp gochujang, 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 fried egg, sesame oil, seaweed flakes

👩‍🍳 Steps

    Crisp the spam in a hot pan — no oil needed, it brings its own.

    Add kimchi and stir-fry 2 minutes until it smells slightly caramelized.

    Add rice, kimchi juice and gochujang; break clumps and fry 4 minutes.

    Kill the heat, stir in butter and a drop of sesame oil.

    Crown with the fried egg and seaweed. Break the yolk on camera.
