Brown Sugar Bubble Milk

Tiger stripes of dark syrup, chewy pearls, cold milk. A drinkable dessert.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick-cook tapioca pearls
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (or black sugar) + 3 tbsp water
  • 2 cups cold whole milk
  • Ice

👩‍🍳 Steps

    Boil pearls per the pack until glossy and chewy; drain.

    Simmer pearls in the brown sugar and water 3 minutes into a dark syrup.

    Swirl the hot syrup-pearls around the inside of a cold glass — tiger stripes.

    Add ice, pour milk slowly down the side. Do not stir yet.

    Photo first, then stir, then wide straw, then silence.
